I wanted to share with you the lessons that I have learned on my journey to financial freedom. It is my hope that by sharing the lessons I have learned on my journey to financial freedom, it will provide you with the inspiration and motivation to take your own journey and create your own success.
1. Know your values
It's important to know what your values are and what you want in life so that you can stay focused and work towards achieving them. Personally, I want to improve my lifestyle and achieve financial stability. I also want to spend time with family and do what I love.
2. Track your spending:
I recommend using a budgeting app like Mint or a budget planner. These tools make it easier to track your spending and give you an overview of where all of your money is going. I do not really like making budgets. So, I do make one periodically and set up auto bill pay. I refer to my budget planner and tweak the auto payment when things change for me financially.
3. Learn to live on less than you make:
It's important to learn how much money is enough for living on a day-to-day basis because if we always spend more than we make, then we'll never be able to save anything!
4. Get out of debt:
If there are any debts that are holding you back from reaching your goals, then it's best to get rid of them as soon as possible.
5. Invest in yourself:
Finally, I find that it is important to take time and invest in yourself during the journey to financial freedom. Remain active, maintain healthy relationships, practice self-care and get plenty of sleep. Investing in yourself is probably the most important lesson of them all.
